21st birthday became a milestone for Amber Johnson that nudged her to make considerable tweaks in her lifestyle. While getting ready for her B-day party with a friend, it dawned on Amber that she felt uncomfortable in her own skin. Her skin was OK, of course. But the true reason was those frustrating 30 post-wedding pounds.
As Johnsons got married, they went easy on junk food in boxes and rich orders in the restaurants. However, as soon as her husband left for 7-month deployment in the Navy, Amber took this time as a chance to shape up a bit. She didn’t ask herself how to make faster progress, her purpose was to take the healthier route in her lifestyle.
The first step towards new habits was eating at home. She even subscribed to the Whole30 program. The strategy that lasted 30 was based on cutting out processed food and unrivaled how to get results that will linger. In addition to the nutrition tweaks, Amber took up the at-home workout routine. By the time her husband returned, she had lost her hated 30 pounds and wasn’t going to rest on her laurels. So, after a while, she added another 15 pounds to her 30-pound breakthrough. In her recent interview, Amber Johnson told us how to get results which will inspire for another fitness goal.
Since weight loss is a personal journey, Amber Johnson picked her own path. As she planned her first humble steps, she aimed to find the fitness program that will kill two birds with one stone. These two birds stood for her extra 30 pounds and back problems. Though she’d made some progress due to acupuncture and physical therapy, pain still tormented her.
So, to set the ball rolling, Amber bought the Pilates-Meets-Yoga series, a low-impact workout routine, in order to heal her back. Really surprising was that in a couple of days her pains faded away. Still, she continued to see her doctor to get extra recommendations.
As soon as the things started getting up the notch, Amber switched to 21 Day Fix DVD series that included both the new exercise routines and nutrition recommendations. Since the weight-loss strategy incorporated more intensive strength routines, she dug out her father’s old dumbbells and hit the ground running.
In order to boost motivation, she started to wear a fitness tracker in addition to her 5-days-a-week workout mix. Her Fitbit has an in-built calendar, so when you start to work out, it puts a checkmark.
Since on Saturdays and Sundays, Amber spent her time with the husband, the rest of the week, she designated as her workout days. This “at-home” strategy didn’t break her usual rhythm of life. She didn’t consider the gym to be an option. To Amber, gym workouts created extra excuses. Instead, at home, all she needs is to put her sportswear on and get it done.
Despite her sincere contempt for aerobic workouts, Amber has lately checked out the Insanity series, a set of cardio exercises. It was all those different changes in her body that prompted her to move forward and discover the new horizons of her body’s capabilities.
In addition to her toned physique, Amber acquired a new confidence in herself that encourages her to do things she’d never dared to try.
